Geld represents two distinct entities within the narrative: the original Orc Lord and his successor. Geld Senior began as prince of the Orc Kingdom of Orbic. Confronting a devastating famine, he consumed his father's flesh, triggering his evolution into the Orc Lord and awakening the Unique Skill "Starved." Desperate to sustain his people, he offered his own regenerating flesh, yet the land remained barren. Nearing death, he encountered the majin Gelmud, who granted him a Name and manipulated him into invading the Great Jura Forest. Geld Senior wielded "Starved" to command over 200,000 orcs, inflicting them with insatiable hunger. After devouring powerful races, including the Ogres with Footman's aid, his power overwhelmed his mind, reducing him to a near-animalistic state. He evolved further into an Orc Disaster (Demon Lord Seed) by consuming Gelmud. His campaign ended at the Lizardman village, where Rimuru Tempest defeated and devoured him, absorbing his sins and granting him peace. His son, known as Geld or Geld Junior, initially served as an Orc General under his father during the invasion. As the last surviving general, he represented the orcs after their defeat. Burdened by guilt over his people's wartime actions, he pleaded with Benimaru for execution while begging mercy for the other orcs. Rimuru Tempest intervened, bestowing the name "Geld," which catalyzed his evolution into the Orc King and marked the start of his service to Tempest. Geld possesses a deeply serious, hardworking, and stoic personality, driven by a profound responsibility to atone for his tribe's past. Shaped by enduring famine and hardship alongside his father, he exhibits immense resilience. While fiercely loyal to Rimuru, viewing him as a just and kind leader, his devotion manifests differently than other subordinates; he sometimes perceives Rimuru as overly carefree. He tends to overwork and battles self-doubt regarding his leadership, though support from Rimuru and his tribe alleviates this. He demonstrates strong paternal instincts, often seen caring for children and popular among them. In battle, he is gentle with allies but utterly ruthless towards enemies, sharing Rimuru's conviction that betraying a friend is the ultimate sin. Initially, he struggled with hypocrisy when managing non-orc prisoners of war, treating them as outsiders until Rimuru reminded him they shared the same desperate circumstances his people once faced. This reinforced his determination to ensure no one in Tempest goes hungry. He harbors a vindictive streak, particularly towards the Moderate Harlequin Alliance's Footman, but also displays camaraderie, notably with Phobio. In the movie *Scarlet Bond*, intense shame over the orcs' destruction of the Ogre village caused him to waver and nearly accept death from Hiiro before Benimaru defended him. As the Orc King, Geld holds significant responsibilities in Tempest. He commands the Second Corps (later the Yellow and Orange Corps), handling both the nation's defense as the last line of protection and major construction projects like roads and magic trains. He is a member of Rimuru's elite Twelve Guardian Lords, specifically designated as the Barrier Lord. His key abilities derive from Unique Skills: "Gourmet" functions like a magical stomach for resource storage and sharing, while "Guardian" allows him to absorb damage intended for allies. In combat, he employs potent magic capable of rotting body and spirit and excels in coordinated defense with his troops. Following Rimuru sharing a fragment of his soul, Geld underwent a further evolution into an Earth Spirit Deity (God of the Boar). This ascension enhanced his skills, merging them into the Ultimate Gift "Lord of Gluttony (Beelzebub)." Physically imposing, Geld typically stands around 220 cm tall with a large, muscular build. Distinguishing features include a prominent mohawk hairstyle (uncommon among orcs), pointed ears, and a necklace resembling three teeth. He usually wears loose pants and a large black cloak. After evolving into the Earth Spirit Deity, his stature and presence became even more formidable.
