Taro Yamaguchi is a Japanese voice actor born on June 6, 1970, in Tokyo, Japan. He is a graduate of Rikkyo University's Faculty of Law, where he studied in the Department of International and Comparative Law. Before his current affiliation, he was a member of the theatre company Gekidan En, and as of September 2019, he is represented by the talent management firm Aoni Production. His background as a stage actor contributes to his versatile performance style, and his skills include judo, karate, Shorinji Kempo, and tap dancing, which he utilizes for action-heavy roles.

Yamaguchi is best known for his long-running role as Borma, a member of the Public Security Section, in the Ghost in the Shell franchise. He has voiced this character across multiple productions, including the television series Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, the original video animations The Laughing Man and Individual Eleven, the theatrical film Solid State Society, and the compilation films Sustainable War and The Last Human.

Another significant ongoing role is the orc leader Geld in the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime series. Yamaguchi first voiced the character in the 2018 television anime and has since reprised the role for its second and third seasons, as well as the spin-off series The Slime Diaries and the film Scarlet Bond. He also has a long-standing association with the Bleach franchise, providing the voice for Chōjirō Sasakibe in the original television series, several theatrical films, and Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War.

In the SD Gundam World Heroes series, Yamaguchi plays the role of Sun Jian Gundam Astray. His other notable anime credits include Renji Togashi in Hanasaku Iroha: Blossoms for Tomorrow and its film sequel Home Sweet Home, Matsuzaki-sensei in The Disastrous Life of Saiki K., Hap in Eureka Seven, Hizack in Glass Fleet, Kagemaru in Godannar, Ribesal in Shakugan no Shana III (Final), Sieg in KING’S RAID: Successors of the Will, Bakuzan in One Punch Man, and Meshi in One Piece. He has also voiced characters in long-running series such as Case Closed.
