Description
Osamu Kirin enters the story of the second act as an English teacher at Saint Gabriel Academy in the modern era, where he serves as Towa Higurashi's homeroom teacher. This ordinary professional appearance conceals his true identity, because he is secretly the second incarnation of Kirinmaru, the qilin great demon known as the Lord of the Eastern Lands. He originated from a portion of Kirinmaru and was sent through the Bone Eater's Well to the modern world on Kirinmaru's orders, allowing him to take root in the present day long before the final conflict unfolds.
On the surface, Osamu Kirin presents himself as a composed, dependable, and cooperative figure. During his time in the modern era, he quietly works to exterminate the demons that appear in the present day, and he asks Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha to help him slay demons at a concert.
