Description
Ryoma Takebayashi was a 39-year-old Japanese salaryman who died from a brain hemorrhage after a sneezing fit caused a fatal head injury during sleep. In the afterlife, three gods—Gain, Kufo, and Lulutia—revealed that his life of hardship had been orchestrated by the God of Earth, who subjected him to extreme trials in an attempt to break his spirit and turn him into a serial killer. Despite enduring abuse, exploitation, and persistent misfortune, Ryoma remained kind-hearted. He accepted the gods' offer of reincarnation into a fantasy world.

Reborn as an eight-year-old boy in the world of Seilfall, Ryoma retained all memories and skills from his previous life. His new body, modified by the gods, had dark brown hair and eyes and a gentle aura, a contrast to his former intimidating and muscular appearance. He spent his first three years alone in the forest, honing his magic abilities and taming over a thousand slimes. During this time, he researched slime evolution, discovering new varieties such as acid, poison, and cleaner slimes, and developed unique bonds with them.

Ryoma’s personality is marked by kindness, humility, and a strong work ethic. His emotional maturity regressed due to his young body, making him more expressive and childlike. He is deeply empathetic, often helping others without expectation of reward, and exhibits high resistance to physical and mental pain due to his past hardships. He avoids conflict but becomes fiercely protective when provoked, demonstrating combat skills from his previous martial arts training.

His background on Earth included severe parental abuse; his father enforced rigorous martial arts training and beat him mercilessly, while his mother died from overwork. Ryoma faced continued misfortune, including false accusations after a self-defense incident and exploitation at a black company. His death, though accidental, was indirectly caused by the manipulations of the God of Earth.

In Seilfall, Ryoma eventually integrated into society after meeting the Jamil family, who became his close confidants. He established a laundry business named Bamboo Forest, utilizing slimes for cleaning, and introduced modern concepts such as fair wages, paid leave, and employee benefits, which revolutionized local labor practices. His innovations extended to alchemy, where he applied knowledge of chemistry to purify metals and create new products.

Ryoma possesses an affinity for all types of magic, mastery of martial arts, and exceptional slime taming abilities. He discovered methods to cultivate giant slimes and pioneered slime evolution through controlled diets and environments. His unique insights often stem from Earthly knowledge, leading to inventions such as raincoats and deodorizers, which were novel in his new world.

Throughout his journey, Ryoma forms meaningful relationships with deities, nobles, adventurers, and employees, overcoming his previously friendless existence. He learns to embrace his new life while addressing challenges such as malicious rumors or threats to his business, always prioritizing compassion and practicality. His development includes emotional growth as he heals from past traumas through the support of found family and community.
