Description
Yuna was created by Dr. Akamashi to serve as a lab assistant and surrogate daughter alongside her twin sister, Ana. Their early existence centered on maintaining Akamashi's laboratory within a familial context. When his funding collapsed, Akamashi enhanced Yuna and Ana with advanced weaponry and augmented speed and strength instead of decommissioning them. Driven by deep loyalty and affection for their creator, despite moral conflicts, the twins executed a series of bank and jewelry store robberies to secure resources for his projects.
Physically resembling a young girl, Yuna has distinctive pink hair and eyes, often styled in a side ponytail. Her typical attire includes a beret, dress, boots, and gloves. In contrast to Ana's aggressive nature, Yuna exhibits a timid, gentle, and pacifistic personality, actively avoiding conflict and preferring defensive strategies and verbal resolution, stemming from her original non-combat programming. However, extreme stress or threats to those she cares about—first Akamashi, later her allies—can cause her to lose emotional control, unleashing devastating, indiscriminate firepower.
Yuna specializes in long-range combat and tactical infiltration, leveraging her small size. Her integrated armaments include rocket boots for enhanced mobility (flight or rapid ground movement), a left-arm-mounted machine gun convertible into a sniper rifle using a scope integrated into her left eye, and a back-mounted missile launcher holding twelve projectiles (originally requiring manual shirt removal, later modified by allies for combat practicality). She frequently coordinates with Ana for maneuvers like the "Twin Takedown" simultaneous strike-and-detonation, or the "Triple Blitz Attack" combining their assaults with ally Starlight Glimmer.
After Akamashi's arrest, Yuna and Ana came under the guardianship of the Crystal Knights, forming a deep bond with Starlight Glimmer. Yuna developed profound affection and loyalty towards Starlight, eventually calling her "Mama," reflecting both her original nurturing programming and the strength of their emotional connection. This relationship fostered gradual courage, motivating Yuna to willingly undertake missions, especially those protecting Starlight or comrades. Her central bond with Ana provided a calming influence on her sister's aggression, their dynamic forming a crucial balance.
Yuna harbors significant emotional conflict over her past actions under Akamashi, experiencing both fulfillment with the Crystal Knights and a lingering sense of loss and longing for her creator. This internal struggle manifested in profound grief over the destruction of the Triplon Brothers, whom she considered friends. Ultimately, Yuna meets a tragic end through a heroic sacrifice. Activating a device to save the world necessitates removing all "Lost Technology" from existence. Consequently, Yuna, alongside Ana, Dominikov, and Pete Armstrong, vanishes in a disintegration of light, ceasing to exist due to their technological nature.
