Description
Claudine Saijō is a second-year student in the Actor Training Department of Seisho Music Academy's 99th Graduating Class. Born to a Japanese father and a French mother, she started as a child actress in advertisements, TV commercials, and stage productions. Her early credits include roles in the musicals "Arrie" (2011), "Mary Hopkins" (2012), "Rasetsu Ō" (2014), "RATS" (2015), and "Round of Music" (2016), plus commercials for FUJITA Confectionery and All Nippon Airways. This background initially fostered a belief in her unique talent, a perspective challenged upon meeting Maya Tendo during their Seisho middle-school audition. This encounter ignited an enduring rivalry, with Claudine consistently ranking second to Maya in their class.

Claudine has ash-blonde wavy hair, typically worn waist-length with a black headband, bangs covering her forehead, and magenta eyes. She stands 165 cm tall with a slim build. Her attire includes the Seisho uniform (gray blazer, red ribbon tie, black thigh-high socks), casual wear (light-blue blouse, black capri pants), practice clothes (pink leotard with gray leggings), and a distinctive revue costume featuring a black jacket with silver piping, a golden belt, and a red pelisse jacket secured by a golden aiguillette. Her revue weapon is the longsword Étincelle de Fierté, bearing a black gem at the blade's base.

Confident, ambitious, and determined, Claudine openly values hard work and resolve. She maintains friendly relationships with classmates, using first names and casual banter, while demonstrating perceptiveness to their concerns, like recognizing Yachiyo Tsuruhime's observant nature. She is straightforward and honest, confronting peers about shortcomings, such as criticizing Ichie Otonashi for self-sabotage. Her primary drive is surpassing her rival Maya, leading to intense frustration when outperformed, though she welcomes challenges and expresses gratitude to competitors who spur her growth.

Her rivalry with Maya defines her journey. Initially one-sided, it evolved into a mutual partnership after their joint loss to Karen Aijo and Hikari Kagura in the academy auditions. This defeat led Claudine to acknowledge Maya's respect for her abilities, tempering her aggression while maintaining their shared practice. In *Revue Starlight The Movie*, facing post-graduation separation – Claudine accepted an offer from Théâtre du Flamme in Paris, while Maya joined the New National Theater Troupe in Japan – their dynamic matured further. Their final Revue of Soul allowed them to drop pretenses and express intertwined aspirations. Claudine declared her resolve to shine independently in France, recognizing Maya as the foundational "stage" enabling her growth, while Maya committed to supporting her brilliance from afar.

Beyond her rivalry, Claudine supports classmates facing future uncertainties. She advises Mahiru Tsuyuzaki on audition anxieties, encourages Junna Hoshimi to aim higher, prompts Futaba Isurugi to apply to New National, and confronts Kaoruko Hanayagi about her self-deprecation, highlighting her role as an emotionally perceptive figure.

Her future path involves joining the Parisian revue after graduation, fulfilling a commitment to advance her career independently while carrying forward the influence of her Seisho experiences and relationships.
