Description
Anri Sata attends Sakuragaoka High School as a first-year tennis club member. She stands 156 cm tall with dark brown hair, often tied back, and bangs covering her forehead; her eyes appear black in some sources and violet in others. Born May 1st (Taurus) with blood type O, she comes from the family running Maruma Butcher Shop in the Tamasakura Shopping District. She frequently assists her mother there, gaining extensive local community knowledge and meat expertise. Anri previously attended the same middle school and class as Momo Chiyoda, though they weren't close then.

Cheerful and outgoing, Anri enjoys teasing friends, especially Yuko Yoshida, whom she nicknamed "Shamiko" from Yuko's demon title "Shadow Mistress Yuko"—a nickname adopted by peers. She maintains a lighthearted mood but proves reliable when friends need help, lending supplies or offering practical advice. Her sociability helps her easily form connections and integrate new acquaintances like Mikan Hinatsuki, for whom she coined "Mikan Mama." Anri leverages her meat expertise persuasively in sales, using slogans like "Meat becomes muscle!" or "Do you want power? Then eat meat!" and tactics like the "Extra Meat Special." She once convinced Momo to buy beef instead of rice coupons as a gift for Yuko's family.

Anri acts as a group connector and information source, though she sometimes unintentionally divulges secrets—prompting Yuko to jokingly call her an "assassin." She facilitates key interactions, introducing Yuko to a sausage-selling job and organizing group barbecues. For Yuko's birthday, she gifted matching sportswear and a discount ticket for a high-end yakiniku restaurant, inadvertently causing awkwardness between Yuko and Momo; Anri later mitigated this by treating everyone to a sweets buffet. She also welcomed transfer student Mikan by involving Momo in sports day preparations. Her family name "Sata" phonetically resembles "Satan," and her first name "Anri" loosely evokes "Saint Maria," though these hold no established story significance. While others in Yuko's circle have Light or Dark clan affiliations, Anri remains an ordinary human within the supernatural narrative. Her local knowledge occasionally sparks fan speculation about hidden importance, unsupported by narrative developments.
