Sayaka Senbongi
Description
Sayaka Senbongi is a Japanese voice actress born on November 24, 1995, in Saitama Prefecture. She is affiliated with the talent agency I'm Enterprise. Her interest in voice acting began in elementary school after watching Neon Genesis Evangelion and was further solidified in middle school by series like K-ON!. To pursue this career, she attended the Japan Narration Acting Institute while still in high school, where she was also a member of the brass band club and played the clarinet.
Senbongi made her debut as a voice actress in 2013 while still a student, voicing Claire Kokonoe in the television anime Chronicles of the Going Home Club. Her first major breakthrough came in 2016 when she was cast as the heroine Mumei in Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress. The same year, she landed her first lead role as Chitose Karasuma in Girlish Number, a part she was selected for out of over one hundred auditioners. In 2017, she was recognized with the Best Rookie Actress Award at the 11th Seiyu Awards for her performances.
She has built an extensive career with a wide variety of notable roles. Some of her most prominent parts include Shuna in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and its spin-off The Slime Diaries, Trish Una in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, and Haru in BEASTARS. She also voiced Marcille in Delicious in Dungeon, Anisphia Wynn Palettia in The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady, and Piglette Pancetta in the Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time series.
Her filmography also includes roles such as SaKo in Extreme Hearts, Falfa in I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level, Falanya Elk Arbalest in The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt, and Sarasa Watanabe in Kageki Shojo!!. In the Pokémon franchise, she has voiced characters like Sakura in Pokémon Evolutions and Kikuna in Pokémon Journeys: The Series. She has also contributed her voice to numerous other series, including Ahiru no Sora, Drifting Dragons, The Demon Girl Next Door, and Strike the Blood.
