Description
Minori, whose real name is Minori Housaki, is a fourteen-year-old middle school student and the elder twin sister of Touya. She becomes trapped in the MMORPG Elder Tale alongside hundreds of thousands of other players during the event known as the Catastrophe. In the game, her avatar is a human Kannagi, a class modeled after a Shinto shrine maiden that specializes in support magic focused on preventing damage and removing debuffs rather than direct healing. Prior to the Catastrophe, she and Touya were struggling low-level players who met the experienced player Shiroe, who agreed to mentor them. While they were adventuring with him, the Catastrophe struck and separated them. In the ensuing chaos, the twins joined the guild Hamelin, which pretended to help beginners but instead exploited them. Minori was effectively held captive while Touya was forced into dangerous battles. When Shiroe learned of their situation, he took action to dismantle Hamelin and rescue them, after which both twins became members of the Log Horizon guild.

After her rescue, Minori resolved to become stronger and more useful, particularly to Shiroe. She changed her subclass from Tailor to Apprentice in order to formally become his student. Under his tutelage, she developed a keen tactical mind and leadership ability. Despite her initial shyness and insecurity, she grew into a confident strategist who could command parties in difficult full-control encounters. She eventually became the leader of the Akiba Guild Hall Raid Party and also served as a member of the Shibuya Raid Team. Her tactical insights allowed her to understand and even replicate some of Shiroe's complex battle strategies, earning the trust of more experienced players.

Minori is polite, well-mannered, and mature for her age, likely due to the responsibility she carries for her brother, who was paraplegic in the real world. She tends to look after Touya and is often the more cautious of the two. She deeply admires Shiroe and develops romantic feelings for him, which she tries to express by helping others see his positive qualities rather than his feared Villain in Glasses reputation. She is aware that she is competing with Akatsuki for Shiroe's affection, but she chooses not to act jealous, understanding that it would not be productive.

Her notable abilities stem from her Kannagi class and her strategic training. She specializes in protective and preventive support magic, keeping allies safe through damage mitigation and debuff removal. Her tactical acumen allows her to coordinate groups effectively, a skill that becomes crucial during large-scale raids. Her growth from a helpless beginner to a capable leader and strategist is a central part of her character arc.
