Description
Puck is an artificial spirit crafted by Echidna in the Re:Zero universe roughly four hundred years ago, alongside his younger sister Beatrice. Unlike Beatrice, he never formed maternal affection for Echidna and later abandoned his contract with her. He forged a new, binding pact with the half-elf Emilia, declaring her his primary reason for existence and assuming a fiercely protective, parental role. This contract bears a grim clause: Puck would attempt to destroy the world should Emilia die. After defeating the Great Spirit of Fire Melakuera with Emilia's aid, Puck ascended to become the new Great Spirit of Fire, earning the epithet "Beast of the End."

In spirit form, Puck appears as a diminutive feline, standing nine centimeters tall and resembling an American Shorthair cat. He possesses light grey and white fur, black eyes (blue in some adaptations), and an abnormally long tail. A golden hoop earring causes his left ear to droop, and he sometimes carries a miniature magenta handbag. This specific appearance remains constant across all media depictions.

Puck exhibits a playful and easy-going personality, frequently offering helpful guidance to Emilia and engaging in mischievous antics. He retains this characteristic playfulness when transported to the Isekai Quartet world, readily adapting to the new setting and enjoying interactions with others. His protective nature towards Emilia remains unwavering, evident in actions like boosting her magical power during school activities such as dodgeball. His rapport with Subaru Natsuki involves light-hearted teasing and camaraderie, though he occasionally hints at their more complex history outside the crossover. Puck demonstrates cooperative flexibility, working alongside characters like Tanya von Degurechaff for training exercises.

As the Great Spirit of Fire, Puck wields immense ice-based offensive power despite his elemental title. He commands ice storms, constructs massive crystalline formations for attack or defense, and can deliver instant death through lethal gaze-based attacks. His powers retain their full strength within the Isekai Quartet universe, though he typically employs them for comedic or supportive purposes rather than lethal force.

In *Gekijо̄ban Isekai Quartet ~Another World~*, Puck is among the characters pulled through a wormhole into a desolate world overrun by golems. Rescued by the golem Pantagruel, he joins a group including Shalltear Bloodfallen, Aura Bella Fiora, Demiurge, Darkness, Subaru Natsuki, Beatrice, Viktoriya Serebryakov, and Filo. Throughout the interdimensional crisis, Puck participates in collective efforts to confront the rampaging golems and seek a way home, maintaining his playful demeanor amidst the turmoil. His interactions consistently reflect his established bonds, particularly his close ties to Emilia and Beatrice.
