Description
Designated U-1146, this neutrophil relentlessly patrols the bloodstream and tissues, eliminating pathogenic invaders like bacteria and viruses within the human body. He responds to infections and injuries with ruthless efficiency. Tall and lean, he possesses pale skin, stark white hair typically covering his right eye, and intense black eyes. His standard white uniform is often splattered with cytoplasm after combat. While outwardly reserved and aloof, he becomes aggressively decisive when confronting pathogens. Despite his violent function, he exhibits profound kindness and selflessness, prioritizing the protection of fellow cells. He maintains respectful relationships across all cell types and ranks, showing empathy even towards infected cells he must destroy.

His origins lie in bone marrow training as a neutrophilic myelocyte. During this period, he rescued a young red blood cell, AE3803, from a Pseudomonas aeruginosa attack, shielding her until help arrived. They parted with a promise to meet again as mature cells, though he later failed to recognize her as an adult erythrocyte.

Key combat abilities include phagocytosis—engulfing pathogens to analyze or neutralize them—and expert knife skills for swift eliminations. His receptor detects nearby antigens like a radar. Additional capabilities encompass L-Selectin for surface adhesion, free movement as a wandering cell, and transmigration through tissues for rapid deployment. He demonstrates exceptional agility, strength, and precision, capable of bisecting bacteria in a single strike or hitting distant targets with thrown knives.

In the OVA "The Common Cold," he detected a Rhinovirus attempting to infect a Normal Cell. After offering protection—which the cell refused—he traced RNA evidence left by the virus to locate its swarm. He then joined Killer T Cells and Macrophages to eliminate the threat and resolve the infection.

Notable traits include sleeping with his eyes open, indifference to social conventions like utility bills, and enjoying hobbies such as fishing and barbecuing. He dislikes wasabi but consumes it without complaint. His L-size uniform and the number "46" (signifying "white" in Japanese wordplay) are distinguishing features.
