Description
Melascula serves as an elite warrior of the Demon Clan, holding the position of Faith within the Ten Commandments under the Demon King. Originating as a small venomous snake, she evolved into a giant hooded serpent capable of human form after centuries bathed in the Demon Realm's miasma. Her human guise possesses long pink hair, a white leotard, and pink stockings, often shrouded in darkness, while her true purple-striped snake form with red eyes remains rarely used.

Her personality blends calm reservation with mocking sarcasm. She exhibits boredom toward challenges, apathy toward tasks, preferring to summon lesser demons rather than exert personal effort. In battle, she displays boastful cockiness and disdain for humans. Absolute loyalty to the Demon King renders her immune to her own Commandment of Faith, which burns the eyes of those showing doubt or faithlessness near her.

During the Holy War 3,000 years ago, Melascula joined the assault on the Fairy King's Forest. Under Gowther's manipulation, she corrupted the Celestial Realm gate, inadvertently freeing the imprisoned real Gowther. Following the Demon Clan's defeat, she was sealed until revival centuries later.

Her powers center on soul and death manipulation, including:
- Creating transportation or summoning portals via Hell Gate.
- Reviving the dead as regret-fueled vengeful spirits using Onhangon no Ho.
- Trapping targets to extract souls within the Antan no Mayu (Cocoon of Darkness).
- Amplifying reanimated soldiers with negative energy via Shiryo Kyoka no Ho.
- Extracting souls through the incantation Shiryo Kyoka no Ho.
- Employing corrosive Deadly Poison that halts regeneration in her snake form.

Later empowered by Arthur Pendragon as "Chaos Melascula," she gained abilities like Akujiki no Reishin, creating hybrid soul creatures resistant to holy and dark magic. Wielding a Chaos Staff, she fused with Galand into the monstrous "Melagaland," an entity subsequently destroyed.

Key relationships within the Ten Commandments include:
- **Galand**: A close friend despite frequent disagreements; she uses the nickname "Old Man" and shows distress at his endangerment.
- **Zeldris**: Mutual respect; she often remains near him and follows his directives.
- **Estarossa**: Professional coexistence, though he threatened her for attempting to consume Meliodas' soul.

Her existence concluded after merging with Galand; their fused form was torn apart, permanently erasing her body and soul.
