Description
Sacha, known as Ash Ketchum, hails from Pallet Town in Kanto. He started training Pokémon at ten, receiving Pikachu from Professor Oak after oversleeping and missing the starter selection. Their bond formed when Ash shielded Pikachu from Spearow; Pikachu now stays outside its Poké Ball as his constant companion.
During Pokémon Journeys: The Series, Ash works as a research fellow at Professor Cerise's Vermilion City laboratory. He travels all eight regions with his partner Goh, aiming to compete in the World Coronation Series to become the world's strongest Trainer by defeating the reigning Monarch, Leon. His team grows, incorporating a Dragonair he helped learn to fly on Dragonite Island (later evolving to save it from Team Rocket) and a Gengar haunting Cerise Laboratory, which Ash befriends by relating to its abandonment through experiences like Charmander and Chimchar.
Ash achieves his dream, overcoming Leon in the Masters Eight finals using Z-Moves, Mega Evolution, and Dynamaxing. He views this victory as the first step toward his broader goal: becoming a Pokémon Master by befriending every Pokémon worldwide.
