TV Special
Description
Goemon Ishikawa XIII joins Lupin III's team in the global pursuit of Harimao's valuable treasure during the television special "Pursuit of Harimao's Treasure!!". He participates alongside Lupin, Jigen, and Fujiko Mine, traveling internationally while evading Inspector Zenigata and other threats. Their mission focuses on locating three statues that serve as keys to unlocking the treasure worth over 8 billion dollars.

Throughout the adventure, Goemon maintains his characteristic stoicism and professionalism. He confronts challenges directly and efficiently, exemplified when he immobilizes pursuing police vehicles by slicing the ice beneath them with his sword. This action prompts Lupin to offer increased compensation, leading Goemon to negotiate for additional benefits like paid vacation. His traditional values remain unwavering, including adherence to Japanese customs, cuisine, and dress despite the international settings.

The special features an alliance between Lupin's group and aging secret agent Sir Archer, along with Archer's granddaughter Diana, to confront the Neo-Himmel organization. Goemon operates effectively within this unlikely partnership, maintaining his reserved demeanor while applying his master swordsman and martial artist skills against various adversaries. Split-screen techniques are incorporated during sequences involving Goemon and other characters.

Goemon's established personality traits remain consistent. He exhibits deep focus through meditation during inactive periods and upholds his serious, honor-bound approach to commitments. His known weaknesses regarding women and occasional frustration when confronted with modern technology appear during the hunt. The adventure concludes with the resolution of both the treasure hunt and the Neo-Himmel threat, with Goemon's role contributing to the successful outcome alongside the combined efforts of the team and their temporary allies.
