Giovanni Petrucci is an Italian actor and voice actor, born in Rome on April 5, 1941. He is the son of film director Antonio Petrucci and began his on-screen acting career at the age of fourteen, debuting in his father's film Cortile in 1955. His live-action career includes appearances in approximately fifty films between 1960 and 1980, with roles in notable works such as Michelangelo Antonioni's L'avventura (1960) and Roberto Rossellini's Viva l'Italia (1961). He also acted in various television dramas and series from the late 1960s through the 2000s.

Alongside his on-screen work, Petrucci established a prolific career as a voice actor, contributing extensively to the Italian dubbing of international productions, particularly anime. He is known for providing the Italian voice for numerous characters in animated series and films.

One of his most prominent roles is that of Soun Tendo in the various Italian adaptations of the Ranma ½ franchise, including the main television series, the OAVs, and the films Team Ranma vs. The Legendary Phoenix and Big Trouble in Nekonron, China. He also voiced the character Goemon Ishikawa in the television special Lupin III: The Pursuit of Harimao's Treasure. In the series Ninpu Kamui Gaiden, he was part of the voice cast, performing the role of Sone. His work on The Brave Frog series included voicing two characters, Ghyata and Ibokiki.

His extensive voice filmography includes a wide range of other anime roles. He voiced Dr. Rao in the original Italian dubbing of Future Boy Conan, the General in Mechander Robo, and various characters in Cyborg 009, such as Dr. Gilwort and Robert Darouton. He also lent his voice to MyuMyu in FLCL, Kamen Kamen in Bryger, and Mogura Oyaji in the film Redline. In addition to anime, his voice work encompasses live-action television, having voiced characters in soap operas and telenovelas like La maga and La forza dell'amore. He has also been active in dubbing for animated series such as Danger Mouse, Dragon Booster, and Due fantagenitori, as well as video games including DC Universe Online, Death Stranding, and God of War.
