Sho Kusakabe is a young male character with white hair, bright crimson red eyes, and pale skin, traits suggesting albinism. He stands 145 cm tall, weighs 37 kg, and has blood type O. Born on December 25, he is 13-14 years old during the depicted events. He is the younger brother of Shinra Kusakabe, sharing a mysterious virgin birth origin. Twelve years before the main story, his infant Adolla Burst spontaneously ignited his home, indirectly awakening Shinra's ignition ability and causing their mother's transformation into an Infernal. Sho was then abducted by the White-Clad's Haumea and Charon. Raised under the Evangelist's influence, he was manipulated into believing the cult leader was his only parent, erasing all memory of his biological family. Recruited into the White-Clad, Sho became the Third Pillar and Commander of the Knights of the Ashen Flame. He wears their uniform: a white jumper featuring a red Sol God cross symbol, a white cloak, gloves, trousers with quilted patterns, and knee-high white boots, carrying a katana on his right hip. His personality reflects his indoctrination: cold, emotionally distant, and ruthlessly efficient. He expresses apathy towards family, initially rejecting Shinra and showing no affection for his mother. As a commander, he demands obedience and executes missions with calm precision, eliminating obstacles without hesitation. He occasionally displays irritation at Haumea's flippant demeanor. Sho is a Third and Fourth Generation pyrokinetic. His signature ability, Severed Universe, stems from his Adolla Burst and Adolla Link. It siphons heat from universal expansion, slowing time relative to himself to create an illusion of super speed. This allows him to deliver undetectable katana strikes, overwhelming opponents like Shinra, Arthur Boyle, and Hibana. The technique exposes him to extreme cold, causing rapid freezing that limits its duration and forces deactivation to thaw. Initially dependent on the Evangelist's "Grace," he regains autonomous use as Adolla merges with reality. Beyond this, Sho demonstrates exceptional swordsmanship, using his katana or sheath to bludgeon or subdue foes non-lethally. He possesses innate superhuman speed, strength, and reflexes, enabling him to shatter concrete, contend with high-velocity opponents, and battle evenly with fighters like Joker without time manipulation. Sho undergoes significant development. A confrontation with Shinra in the Netherworld triggers an Adolla Link, transmitting Shinra's childhood and maternal memories. This sparks Sho's emotional awakening; he recalls his abduction and familial love, leading to tears and temporary reconciliation. Haumea intervenes, erasing his regained emotions and placing him under mind control, during which she treats him as a doll, dressing him in a suit and applying lipstick. After breaking free, Sho rejects the White-Clad, allying with Shinra and Company 8. He develops curiosity about the world, displaying childlike wonder at everyday phenomena like balloons and children playing. His personality shifts towards protectiveness; he dubs himself Shinra's "guardian angel," vowing to support his brother's role as humanity's potential savior. He adopts flamboyant civilian clothing to blend in. Following the reinitialization of the Great Cataclysm, Sho is teleported to Adolla. Key relationships include his evolving bond with Shinra, from hostility to loyalty; mentorship under Arrow in the Knights of the Ashen Flame; and his antagonistic dynamic with manipulator Haumea. His name "Sho" (象) translates to "phenomenon." A childhood warning from his mother about the Nether foreshadows his later captivity there.
