Description
Hyoga stands 189 cm (6'2") tall and weighs 81 kg (178 lbs), with short white hair and habitually squinting dark purple eyes. He originally concealed the lower half of his face with a black mask to hide a de-petrification scar that later vanished. His attire features bird feathers around his neck, tan gloves, knee-high boots, a long black cloak, and a grey warrior-skirt fastened by an elaborate white sash.

Born November 30, 1995, in Aichi Prefecture with blood type AB, he served as assistant master of the Owari Kanryu Spear Technique pre-petrification and favors soba noodles. Revived by Tsukasa Shishio, he rose as a top Tsukasa Empire enforcer while secretly advocating a strict social darwinist philosophy. He divided humans into "enlightened" (strong, intelligent, or skilled) and "unenlightened" (weak or useless), believing the latter must be eliminated to forge an elite-only world—a stance conflicting with Tsukasa’s vision.

Hyoga wields a specialized kudayari spear, executing rapid, irregular thrusts via the Owari Kanryu style, amplified by the spear’s hollow tube generating rotational force. This weapon dependency limits his effectiveness with ordinary spears. His combat skill allows simultaneous engagements against multiple opponents like Kohaku, Kinro, and Magma, augmented by tactical intelligence: he identifies enemy weaknesses and deploys subordinates as expendable pawns to probe hazards.

He betrayed Tsukasa shortly after Mirai’s revival, exploiting Tsukasa’s emotional vulnerability in a near-fatal ambush motivated by ideological rejection and personal ambition. Defeated by Senku Ishigami and Tsukasa, he was imprisoned and later transported during the Treasure Island expedition. Revived there to counter the warrior Moz, he initially struggled with an inferior spear but dominated once provided a scientifically enhanced kudayari featuring a lubricated bamboo shaft and gold-coated tip. This cemented his alignment shift toward the Kingdom of Science, leading to missions across the Americas involving combat training and sabotage.

In South America, Hyoga sustained fatal gunshot wounds. His body was petrified and successfully revived, demonstrating petrification’s capacity to restore even the deceased. Post-revival, he abandoned power pursuits to become a martial arts instructor for the new police force, dedicating himself to teaching spear techniques.

Throughout his evolution from antagonist to reluctant ally, Hyoga maintains a calm, polite demeanor, often using formal language and the phrase "Are you doing things properly?" to gauge competence. He reserves genuine respect for individuals like Senku, Tsukasa, Moz, Kohaku, and Homura Momiji—his sole deemed-capable subordinate. Though his moral alignment shifts, his core elitism endures, tempered by pragmatic cooperation for survival and order.
