Description
Satoshi Isshiki hails from the prestigious Isshiki family, stewards of a traditional Japanese restaurant in Kyoto's Gion district since the Muromachi period. Trained rigorously in culinary arts from childhood, he endured intense familial pressure that initially drained his joy from cooking. Sent to live with Kinokuni family allies at age four, he grew up alongside Nene Kinokuni. Witnessing her genuine passion for the craft sparked his own appreciation, transforming cooking from obligation into fulfillment. This embrace of innovation over strict tradition later resulted in his rejection by the Isshiki family.
He enrolled at Totsuki Culinary Academy, passing manager Fumio Daimido's entrance exam on his first attempt to become a resident of the Polar Star Dormitory.
