Louis Friedemann Thiele is a German actor and voice artist born on July 4, 1981, in Munich. He comes from a family of actors and filmmakers; his parents are actress Johanna Liebeneiner and cameraman Michael Thiele, and his grandparents were director Wolfgang Liebeneiner and actress Hilde Krahl. He began his acting career as a teenager, appearing in television productions such as an episode of the crime series Tatort in 1994.

After completing his Abitur in 2000, Thiele moved to Los Angeles to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 2003. Upon returning to Germany, he worked extensively in theatre, including a long engagement as an ensemble member at Schauspiel Essen from 2005 to 2008. In 2008, he was nominated for the Best Newcomer Actor award by the theatre magazine Theater Pur.

Since 2008, Thiele has been highly active as a voice actor, lending his voice to numerous characters in films, television series, and video games. His voice is familiar to German audiences from his long-running roles as Prince Charming in Once Upon a Time and as Gendry in Game of Thrones. He is also the German voice of actor Jack Falahee in the series How to Get Away with Murder. Beyond screen work, Thiele is a prolific narrator for audiobooks and radio plays. In 2018, he was awarded the German Audiobook Prize in the Best Entertainment category for his work.

In the field of anime and animation, Louis Friedemann Thiele has built an extensive filmography. He is known for voicing prominent characters in a wide range of popular series. His roles include Satoshi Isshiki in Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma, Tomohito Sugino in Assassination Classroom, Chrollo Lucilfer in Hunter x Hunter, and Kraft Lawrence in Spice and Wolf. A significant and recurring role is that of the villain Tomura Shigaraki in the long-running series My Hero Academia, a character he has voiced since 2016, also appearing in the franchise's feature films.

Thiele has also voiced several of the specific characters mentioned, confirming his involvement in these productions. He is the German voice of Geordo Stuart in My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!.
