Description
Dorothy is a powerful magician who resides in a castle on a mountain, serving as the mentor and teacher to her student, a young wizard named Shiine. She has a long and complicated history with Seravy, a magician considered the greatest in the world, which forms the backdrop for much of her character's actions and motivations. Born into a wealthy family with a younger sibling named Doris, Dorothy shared a close childhood bond with Seravy, even to the point of a youthful promise of marriage. This closeness, however, soured into a fierce rivalry as Seravy's magical abilities began to naturally eclipse her own.

The defining moment of their rivalry came when Dorothy briefly achieved the title of the world's greatest magician by defeating a foe named Piikapon. Her triumph was immediately and accidentally undercut when Seravy, in congratulating her, struck her with a conjured bouquet, causing her to lose the title in a moment of public humiliation. Deeply embarrassed and angered by this event and by his subsequent refusal to take her seriously in a duel, Dorothy permanently dyed her naturally blonde hair a vivid shade of red as an act of defiance and revenge. This impulsive act not only defined her look but cemented her competitive and somewhat volatile personality.

Dorothy possesses a fierce temper and takes great pride in her magical skills, leading to a powerful competitive streak, particularly concerning Seravy. She is known to react with intense anger to insults or challenges, especially those related to her appearance. Despite this volatility and her ambitious nature, she demonstrates a genuine capacity for care, most notably as a mentor to Shiine, whom she took in as her student after his father, Access, entrusted him to her care. Her domestic skills, however, are notably lacking, leading to her pupil taking on a significant role in managing the household tasks of cooking, cleaning, and laundry. This dynamic is a frequent subject of commentary from Elizabeth, a sentient doll who lives with Seravy; the doll is modeled after Dorothy's childhood appearance and is used by Seravy to voice playful, and often mocking, observations about Dorothy's temper and habits.

Her role in the story is initially that of a rival and episodic antagonist. In the first episode, she is corrupted by a magic mirror sent by the great demon king Daimaō, which amplifies her grudge against Seravy and leads her to create a dragon for Chacha and her friends to defeat. Once freed from this influence, her character evolves significantly. She becomes a crucial ally in the larger conflict against Daimaō, joining the protagonists as one of the Eight Holy Warriors of Love, Courage, and Hope, a group that unites to storm the demon king's castle. Her key relationships therefore develop from rivalry to alliance. Her dynamic with Seravy gradually shifts from one defined by past humiliation and competition to mutual respect and a rekindled romantic commitment. This evolution ultimately leads to their reconciliation, engagement, and marriage, and they eventually have twins named Yuurin and Riran. Her relationship with her student, Shiine, remains a constant, defined by her mentorship and his loyal, if sometimes exasperated, care for her.

Throughout the series, Dorothy is portrayed as a highly capable magician, worthy of her title and respected as a teacher of magic. Her abilities are demonstrated not only in direct magical combat, such as creating dragons, but also in her capacity to instruct a skilled student like Shiine. While her primary narrative arc concludes with her personal and romantic resolution with Seravy, her position as a powerful witch and a central figure in the world of the story is firmly established from her first appearance.
