TV-Series
Description
Lutz hails from a poor family in Ehrenfest's lower city, born the youngest of four brothers to carpenter Deid and textile worker Karla. His childhood involved food scarcity and possessions often taken by older siblings Zasha, Sieg, and Ralph. Like most commoner children, he foraged forests and assisted at home before baptism. Interaction with the original Myne was limited due to her illness, though he occasionally carried items or offered protection when she was exhausted.

His position shaped a patient, calm demeanor. Lutz engages practically with Myne's unconventional ideas instead of dismissing them. Despite an easygoing exterior, he shows tenacity, defying family expectations to become a merchant. He studies diligently to match peers from merchant backgrounds after starting his apprenticeship. Loyalty defines his friendships; he upholds promises to Myne across years, monitors her health, gives advice, defends her, and offers comfort in distress.

His relationship with Myne forms his core narrative. After Urano's memories awaken in Myne, Lutz becomes her primary collaborator. He deduces her reincarnation early, accepts her truth without demanding proof, and safeguards this secret. Their partnership begins with foraging and gathering materials for paper-making. He assists in developing prototypes, negotiating with merchants, and establishing production processes. When Myne collapses from the Devouring, he carries her to safety, tearfully seeks aid, and recommits to their shared dream of creating books. This leads Benno to take them as apprentices at the Gilberta Company.

Under Benno's strict mentorship, Lutz cultivates expertise in pricing, negotiation, and business strategy. He masters literacy and mathematics despite his illiterate upbringing, learning formal merchant etiquette and occasionally outpacing Myne initially. His carpentry background aids woodworking for printing tools. Myne later designates him among the "Gutenbergs" for advancing book production and sales. Following her adoption into nobility as Rozemyne, he continues supporting her endeavors while managing merchant responsibilities.

His evolution includes emotional maturation. Early on, he experiences a breakdown fearing Myne no longer needs him, transforming this into steadfast dedication. He navigates complex social dynamics, balancing temple obligations with merchant duties. His family relocates to a workshop district, transferring grandparent care duties to Ralph. Over time, his bond with Tuuli deepens through shared efforts to stay connected to Rozemyne, culminating in an engagement facilitated by neighborhood perceptions of their closeness and mutual dedication.

Key skills encompass business acumen, advanced literacy/numeracy, merchant etiquette, carpentry proficiency, and comprehensive knowledge of paper-making and printing. He adapts to nobility-interfacing roles despite commoner origins. Notable moments include comforting Myne during her despair over burned materials, motivating her survival through their partnership promise, and coordinating forest expeditions to teach orphans paper-making techniques while maintaining industry secrecy.
