Description
Iroha Isshiki, a first-year Sobu High School student, transitions from soccer club manager to student council president through a peer-orchestrated prank election. Sporting shoulder-length flaxen bobbed hair with a left-sided fringe, honey-toned eyes, and a non-regulation uniform frequently layered with a light pink cardigan, she cultivates a "cute" persona through calculated innocence and clumsiness, enabling social maneuvering. Her astute, strategic nature remains discernible only to Hachiman Hikigaya and Hayato Hayama, who identify her intellectual sharpness beneath the crafted image.

Initially seeking to abandon the presidency without social repercussion, she enlists the Service Club, only for Hachiman to engineer her retention to safeguard the club’s existence. This pivotal moment catalyzes her transformation, as she progressively adopts authentic leadership, honing skills through organizing events like the Christmas play and graduation prom. Motivated by overhearing Hachiman’s yearning for authenticity and overcoming obstacles such as prom opposition, her trajectory shifts from self-interest to altruism.

Her rapport with Hachiman blends reciprocal banter and dependency, marked by his sardonic designation of her as the "second most rotten person in the world"—a nod to their shared pragmatism and guarded idealism. Though manipulative, she exhibits sincere care, championing the prom to forge lasting memories for classmates.

Aspiring to a future as a homemaker prioritizing comfort, she mirrors Hachiman’s pursuit of uncomplicated stability. Early insecurities dissolve as student council endeavors foster self-reliance, charting her evolution from reliance on others to autonomous leadership.
