Takeshi is a traveling companion who arrives at the Millennium Comet festival with Satoshi, Haruka, and Masato. His life goal is to become a professional Pokémon Breeder. Throughout the events involving the legendary Pokémon Jirachi, Takeshi stands alongside his companions. He attends the festival, witnesses Butler's magic show, and journeys to the land of Forina. He is caught in the rampage of the artificial creature Meta Groudon and absorbed along with the others, later freed following its defeat. His role is that of a supportive group member, providing stability and joining the collective effort to protect Jirachi and counter the threat of Butler's plans.
