Description
Doppo Orochi reigns as a 10th dan karate grandmaster and head of the Shinshinkai Karate School, celebrated for his exceptional strength and skill honed over 50 years of practice. His formidable reputation earned him titles like "God of War," "Man Eater Orochi," "Tiger Slayer," and "Fist Saint." Physically imposing, he stands 178 cm tall, weighs 110 kg, and bears numerous scars, including one from a Siberian tiger encounter. He wears an eyepatch over his right eye, a consequence of injuries inflicted by Yuujirou Hanma.

His personality blends fierce martial pride with deep wisdom and a protective nature, especially towards his family. He adopted and raised Katsumi Orochi after the boy's father was killed by a circus lion, training him in Shinshinkai Karate. Despite his fearsome monikers, he demonstrates profound concern for his wife, Natsue Orochi, and actively intervenes to shield Katsumi from dangerous foes like the death row convict Dorian. He holds karate as the purest form of combat, a conviction that can sometimes blind him to the effectiveness of unconventional fighting styles.

In battle, Doppo wields Shinshinkai Karate and his developed Orochi-ryuu style, characterized by relentless offense and tactical ingenuity. His key techniques include Sangan (enhanced perception), Sachin (muscle hardening), Mawashi Uke (deflection), and Kokoken (a strike targeting pressure points to induce blindness or disorientation). A tactical genius, he meticulously analyzes opponents' stances and techniques to deploy premeditated strategies, though unexpected aggression or trickery can exploit vulnerabilities.

His history is marked by legendary confrontations. In his youth, he solidified his "Tiger Slayer" title by fighting and killing a Siberian tiger barehanded. During the Underground Arena Saga, his clash with Yuujirou Hanma inflicted severe injuries, including the loss of his right eye; he was clinically dead but revived by Dr. Kureha. Later, against Dorian, he lost a hand to a concealed wire weapon (later surgically reattached). Dorian also detonated an explosive that scarred Doppo's face, yet he survived and fought on.

Doppo's resilience shines through his recovery from near-fatal wounds and relentless training. Post-revival, he undertook rigorous rehabilitation, perfecting techniques like the Bodhisattva Fist—a strike mimicking Buddha's hand posture that eliminates detectable intent. His physical capabilities encompass town-level striking strength and durability, high hypersonic speed, and superhuman stamina, enabling him to fight through excruciating pain, including amputations and blast injuries.

Throughout his journey, Doppo upholds a philosophy of unwavering forward momentum, refusing retreat against adversaries like Yuujirou or Dorian. He views martial arts as a lifelong path of self-improvement, constantly questioning his own limits while inspiring students to pursue genuine strength.
