Originally manifested as the silent, hate-driven "Mysterious Boy" created by Akane Shinjo under Alexis Kerib's influence, Anti exists solely to destroy Gridman at any cost. His lethal focus is demonstrated when he kills Samurai Calibur in battle. Prolonged exposure to the human world sparks unexpected development, however, as Anti exhibits curiosity about human experiences like food and forms a bond with the small kaiju Anosillus the 2nd.
A pivotal shift occurs upon learning the truth of his creation. Realizing Akane views him as expendable triggers profound disillusionment and betrayal. This catalyzes his transformation into the heroic Gridknight (originally designated Gridknight the Just), who allies with Gridman. In this new form, he gains distinct armor and wields the Gridknight Calibur weapon, rejecting his destructive programming.
In the final battle against Alexis Kerib, Anti sacrifices himself by channeling his energy into Gridman's Fixer Beam. This act repairs the digital world's damage and empowers Akane Shinjo to confront reality, enabling Gridman's victory. His self-destruction completes his journey from a tool of destruction to a being capable of empathy and self-sacrifice. Anti's narrative traces the evolution from a manifestation of Akane's anger into an autonomous protector, exploring themes of identity, free will, and redemption.
