Description
Uta begins her existence as a bubble-like being, descending to Earth with her sisters and unintentionally sparking the "Bubble Fall"—a cataclysm ignited by an explosion at Tokyo Tower that devastates the city and traps it within a gravitational anomaly. Her accidental encounter with a young boy, Hibiki, during the chaos prompts her sisters to unleash an assault on Tokyo, leveling the metropolis and claiming Hibiki’s mother. Stranded near the tower, Uta quietly watches over Hibiki as he grows, shielding him during parkour contests while maintaining her distance.

Years pass before Hibiki, drawn by an enigmatic melody, attempts to scale Tokyo Tower but plummets into the sea. Uta merges her essence with his fading breath, reshaping herself into a human girl with short light-blue hair, violet eyes, and a sailor-style uniform adorned with red and blue details. A glove masks her right hand, containing her volatile bubble form. Though her youthful appearance and wide-eyed curiosity paint her as innocent, she harbors a steadfast sense of justice and a willingness to put others first.

Integrating into Hibiki’s parkour team, the Blue Blazers, she mimics human customs with catlike quirks, embracing each new experience. She grows close to Makoto, a researcher analyzing the Bubble Phenomenon, who mentors her in reading and shares "The Little Mermaid," a tale mirroring Uta’s own fears of impermanence and sacrificial love. Her fragile form, which dissolves upon physical contact, strains her bond with Hibiki, even as she risks her stability to ensure his safety.

When the gravitational field destabilizes further, Uta ascends the tower to rejoin her sisters and reverse the anomaly. Hibiki pursues, only to be struck by falling debris. In a desperate act, she defies her nature to touch him, healing his wounds as her body begins unraveling into bubbles. She thanks him for the fleeting joys of humanity before vanishing. A post-credits glimpse suggests her essence persists as a solitary bubble, drifting near Hibiki as he trains.

Her journey traces a path of self-realization and empathy, bridging her ephemeral existence with yearning for belonging. Echoing the mermaid’s legend, her choices highlight love’s fragility and the weight of sacrifice, her every action a testament to protecting others—even as it erases her from the world she cherishes.
