TV-Series
Description
Kanna Kamui, a young dragon exiled from her world as punishment for shattering the sacred Dragon Pearl forged by her father Kimun Kamui, leader of the Chaos Faction, is banished to the human realm. Seeking refuge with Tohru—a fellow dragon residing with office worker Kobayashi—Kanna initially distrusts Kobayashi, accusing her of manipulating Tohru. Over time, she forms deep bonds with both, viewing Kobayashi as a mother figure and Tohru as an elder sister.

In human guise, Kanna appears as a petite girl with white-lavender hair in twin ponytails, vivid blue eyes, and attire merging gothic lolita fashion with Ainu cultural motifs. Her dragon form manifests as a feathered white serpentine creature with avian wings and a tail that transforms into an electrical plug to recharge mana in the mana-scarce human world. Standing 120 cm tall as a human and 10 meters as a dragon, she retracts her horns, wings, and tail to assimilate.

Quiet and observant, Kanna conveys emotions through faint facial cues. Despite her dragon age, she mirrors human childhood behaviors: curiosity, playful antics, and frequent naps. She grows fiercely protective of those she loves, notably Kobayashi, and navigates social complexities with classmates like Riko Saikawa, toward whom she harbors budding romantic feelings. Her interactions with Riko blend innocent affection with moments of bewilderment, underscoring her evolving grasp of human emotions.

Enrolled as "Kanna Kobayashi" at Oborozuka Elementary, she balances human education with her draconic instincts, suppressing her strength during school activities to avoid detection. A defining moment arises during a sports festival when she discreetly uses her speed to assist Riko after a fall, showcasing her growing social awareness.

Kanna wields electricity manipulation, immense physical power, and rapid skill acquisition—demonstrated by instantly mastering English during a New York trip. Human education unlocks new abilities, such as electron control after studying static electricity, though this leads to accidental discharges like a charged-particle beam. Unlike Tohru, she cannot cast perception-blocking spells.

Her connections extend to Chloe, an American girl she rescues, and Ilulu, a dragon companion from her past pranks. While her relationship with her neglectful father remains tense, she yearns for his acknowledgment. Embracing human life, she retains dragon quirks—snacking on insects, claiming the uninhabited island Ushishir as her birthplace—and navigates cultural gaps with earnest confusion.

Kanna’s journey explores her dual existence as a mighty dragon and a child deciphering human norms. Her presence risks exposing dragonkind to humanity, yet her gradual adaptation underscores themes of belonging. Spin-offs like *Kanna’s Daily Life* delve into her perspective, weaving supernatural elements into everyday adventures.
