Inheriting leadership of the revived MLA, he covertly advanced Destro’s ideology through Detnerat, a lifestyle company he established to develop products for those with unconventional Quirks. While publicly posing as Detnerat’s charismatic CEO, Re-Destro operated as the MLA’s Grand Commander, leveraging the corporation to fund his campaign against government Quirk restrictions and promote a society of unchecked Quirk freedom. Beneath his affable exterior lay ruthless pragmatism; he executed disloyal subordinates, including his secretary Miyashita, for disrespecting Destro’s legacy. His Quirk, Stress, transformed accumulated anguish into physical might, marked by dark body patterns that enhanced his strength, speed, and size. Overuse led to hair loss and dependency on prosthetics after severing his own legs to escape Shigaraki’s Decay during the Deika City clash. Re-Destro initially dominated the League of Villains, capturing their broker Giran and outmaneuvering Shigaraki until the latter’s Quirk evolved, decimating the city. Forced to yield to Shigaraki’s raw power, Re-Destro disbanded the MLA, merging its forces with the League to form the Paranormal Liberation Front (PLF) under Shigaraki’s command. As a PLF lieutenant, Re-Destro supported Shigaraki’s war on hero society, disseminating Destro’s manifesto and collaborating with Hawks to sway public perception. During the Paranormal Liberation War, he battled heroes like Fumikage Tokoyami and Edgeshot, combining his Stress-enhanced abilities with mechanical limbs until his defeat. Though Re-Destro championed Quirk liberation through corporate manipulation and terrorism, he demonstrated loyalty to allies, grieving Curious’s death and valuing his army’s survival above personal ambition. His submission to Shigaraki reflected his conviction that strength alone legitimizes ideals. Arrested after the war, Re-Destro’s direct influence waned, but Detnerat’s reach and Destro’s manifesto endured, fueling persistent anti-establishment movements.
