ONA
Description
Hop is a young Pokémon Trainer from the rural town of Postwick in the Galar region, best known as the younger brother of Leon, the undefeated Champion of Galar. His dream is to follow in his brother's footsteps and become the Champion himself, a goal that serves as the central driving force of his actions throughout the series.

In Pokémon: Twilight Wings, Hop is portrayed as an earnest and energetic boy whose deep admiration for his older brother borders on idolization. This is most clearly seen in his habits, as he spends much of his free time watching televised recordings of Leon's battles, intently studying his techniques to learn how to become stronger. His home life and training are consistently shared with his first and most loyal partner, a Wooloo, with whom he has a very close bond and even ties a friendship bracelet around its leg.

The short series dedicates significant focus to the relationship between Hop and his Wooloo. While Hop is endlessly enthusiastic about Leon and his powerful Charizard, his constant praise for the Fire-type makes his own Wooloo feel inadequate and jealous. Wooloo becomes convinced that Hop wishes it were more like the Champion's ace Pokémon. This leads to Wooloo running away from home in an attempt to mimic Charizard, unsuccessfully trying to breathe fire and even fly, which results in the Pokémon getting lost and injured on Milo the Gym Leader's farm.

This event serves as a turning point for Hop, revealing the depth of his care for his own partner. He frantically searches the town for Wooloo, consumed by worry. When they are finally reunited with the help of a Corviknight taxi, a relieved and apologetic Hop promises his Pokémon that they will challenge and conquer the Pokémon League together as a team. He firmly assures Wooloo that it is perfect just the way it is, and that he would not want any other partner by his side. This moment allows Hop to realize the danger of trying to become an exact replica of his brother and the importance of appreciating the unique strengths of those close to him.

Beyond the central conflict of the third episode, Twilight Wings shows Hop continuing his journey. He is later seen watching the climactic battle between Leon and the Dragon-type Gym Leader Raihan on television, studying their moves alongside his now-evolved Dubwool. His story arc culminates in The Gathering of Stars, where he receives an invitation to compete in the Galarian Star Tournament, signifying his official progression as a serious Trainer. He is last seen at Wyndon Stadium, walking onto the field for the tournament's opening ceremony alongside other competitors.
