Description
Hinako Nakayama, raised unaware of her origins at Suzukaze Orphanage, discovers she has an identical twin brother, Hikaru Onigashima, on their first high school entrance day. Separated at birth to shield Hinako and her mother from their yakuza father's gang conflicts—after which both parents vanished—Hinako grew up in the orphanage.

Physically, Hinako possesses short pink hair, dark pink eyes, and a slim frame (160 cm, 47 kg). This build aids her ongoing disguise as a male student. She utilizes sarashi chest binding to maintain this deception. Extensive orphanage training in boxing, Muay Thai, wrestling, and kickboxing, initially developed to protect others from bullies, granted her exceptional combat efficiency against larger opponents despite her slight stature.

Her personality merges compassion with steadfast principles. Childhood ostracization due to her strength left her yearning for genuine friendships while avoiding unnecessary conflict. She adheres to a "Technical Pacifist" philosophy, seeking peaceful solutions but fighting decisively to protect others. This moral integrity defines her actions, exemplified when defending Konparu Takayuki's younger brother.

Hikaru compels Hinako to replace him at the all-male Shishiku Academy by threatening financial penalties. He leverages her martial prowess to fulfill his obligation as the expected "bancho" (delinquent leader). Initially reluctant, Hinako adapts to this dual identity. Challenges include defeating the hotheaded Totomaru Minowa during entrance ceremonies, earning his loyalty. Her combat reputation expands as she overcomes rivals, uniting first-year students and gaining recognition as their leader.

Key relationships shape her journey:
- Totomaru Minowa becomes her first friend post-defeat, offering support while unaware of her gender.
- Konparu Takayuki transitions from a misogynistic adversary to a trusted ally after she protects his brother.
- Rintarou Kira, her childhood friend from the orphanage, recognizes her via a gifted string bracelet and safeguards her secret.
- Houou Onigashima, her half-brother, develops protective affection when she addresses him as "onii-chan" (big brother).

Her development involves balancing her concealed identity with escalating leadership duties. Participation in school traditions like the sports festival ("fight festival") requires her class to cross-dress as cheerleaders alongside Konparu, heightening peer curiosity about her appearance. External threats, including rival school attacks, test her resolve, forging alliances and confrontations that cement her role as bancho. Rintarou Kira later publicly challenges her identity, forcing her to affirm her commitment to both her mission and her newfound bonds.
