Description
Aoi is a Yuki-Onna appearing in the fifth anime adaptation. Driven by vengeance against Kitarō, whom she blames for her childhood friend Mashiro's death, she confronts him and raises an ice spear to strike. She halts her attack when Mashiro's spirit intervenes to protect Kitarō. Witnessing Kitarō's honest acceptance of punishment, Aoi recognizes his significance and forgives him, marking her transition from vengeful to a kind and playful nature.
Following this reconciliation, Aoi playfully taunts Neko-Musume about her crush on Kitarō before returning home to live among her fellow Yuki-Onna in Yōkai Yokochō. She holds the position of the sixth member among the 47 Yōkai Warriors, representing Yamagata Prefecture, with her mark located on her left breast.
As a Yuki-Onna, Aoi wields ice-based powers: conjuring ice spears as weapons, unleashing blizzards, and sending messages over vast distances using powder snow.
