Armadimon, also known as Armadillomon, is a mammal-type Digimon with a hard, armadillo-like shell and a consistently cheerful, optimistic personality. It partners with Cody Hida (Iori Hida), whose serious, rule-oriented nature contrasts with Armadimon's lighthearted demeanor. Armadimon speaks with a distinct Nagoya dialect in Japanese portrayals and occasionally demonstrates rapping skills. Originating from an ancient Digimon lineage shared with Veemon, Armadimon was sealed by the Digimon Sovereign Azulongmon for future crises. It awakened during the Digimon Emperor's conquest of the Digital World, and Cody freed Armadimon from suspended animation by lifting the Digi-Egg of Knowledge on his first journey to that realm. Armadimon's evolutionary line includes Tsubumon as its Fresh form and Upamon as its In-Training form. As a Rookie, it can perform Armor Digivolution: with the Digi-Egg of Knowledge it becomes Digmon (Drill of Knowledge), excelling in subterranean combat; with the Digi-Egg of Reliability it becomes Submarimon (Reliable Guardian of the Seas), adept in aquatic environments; and with the Digi-Egg of Love it becomes Pteramon. Its standard Champion form is Ankylomon, a dinosaur-like Digimon. Through DNA Digivolution with Angemon, Ankylomon reaches the Ultimate-level Shakkoumon, a mutant Digimon fusing defensive armor and holy power. Vikemon serves as its Mega form in select media. In combat, Armadimon uses Rolling Stone, a curled charge attack, and Scratch Beat, slashing foes with extended foreleg claws. In Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna, Armadimon aids in battling Eosmon and, during a Yatagaramon assault, activates a Digital Gate to secure an escape while Cody pursues law and kendo in high school. In Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning, Armadimon accompanies Cody during his pre-law studies and part-time work at a law firm, balancing Cody's disciplined lifestyle. During the climax, Armadimon battles the giant Digimon BigUkkomon, digivolving to Ankylomon and then DNA-digivolving with Angemon into Shakkoumon to sever most of BigUkkomon's tentacles alongside Silphymon, enabling Imperialdramon Fighter Mode's decisive strike. After the battle, Digivices disintegrate globally, signifying that human-Digimon bonds endure without physical devices. By 2027, Armadimon remains Cody's partner. Cody becomes a defense attorney with a family, fathering a daughter. Armadimon accompanies him to his law firm and questions Cody's career choice, prompting Cody to explain his belief in redemption, shaped by experiences with Ken Ichijouji and Yukio Oikawa. Armadimon later joins Cody and his daughter at a Digital World gathering with the original Chosen Children and their Digimon partners.
