TV Special
Description
Chibita debuted in Fujio Akatsuka's *Osomatsu-kun* manga as a small child, initially nameless or nicknamed "Chibi" before becoming firmly established as Chibita. His background shifted between portrayals, sometimes showing him as an orphan living in a scrapyard pipe, and occasionally including family members like an older brother or a cousin-like relationship to Totoko. Early characterizations varied, evolving from a bullied figure to a mischievous troublemaker, ultimately settling as a resilient yet sympathetic target for the Matsuno sextuplets' pranks.

Physically, Chibita stands 60cm tall as a child, recognizable by his bald head featuring a single protruding hair and a durable scalp crease, wide eyes, pointed nose, and distinctive cheek markings described as hardened mucus residue. He typically wears a single-button shirt and pants, with colors differing across adaptations. As an adult, he reaches approximately 140-150cm in height, retaining similar features but often seen in a yellow shirt, blue shorts, and red bow tie while running his oden stall.

Chibita's personality blends fierce determination, a love for fights (from which he often emerges unscathed), and a mischievous streak. He forms deep bonds with animals like cats and frogs, showing consistent kindness towards them despite frequent conflicts with human peers. His catchphrase "Kekeke" and rough dialect, including phrases like "Teyande barou chikusho!", are defining traits. Oden is his iconic favorite food, typically depicted skewered with konjac, ganmodoki, and narutomaki. He holds a persistent grudge against the sextuplets for their bullying but occasionally allies with them during dire situations.

His relationship with Iyami fluctuates between mentorship, partnership in scams targeting the sextuplets, and betrayal. Iyami often acts as a substitute guardian for the frequently homeless Chibita. In spinoff series like *Akatsuka-kun Can Do Anything* and *Chibita-kun*, he stars as the protagonist, sometimes alongside a partner like Dorutaro ("$-chan") or a sister named Chibiko, reinforcing his adaptable roles as an orphan or free-roaming character.

Within the *Osomatsu-san* era, Chibita appears as an adult oden stall owner, perpetually exasperated by the sextuplets' unpaid tabs. His teenage years, explored in *Osomatsu-san: The Movie*, depict a period of identity crisis where he rejected oden as a career, wore a wig, and worked as a French chef apprentice before embracing his passion. As an adult, he obsesses over perfecting oden but remains entangled in the brothers' antics, occasionally reverting to vengeful outbursts when provoked, such as violently retaliating after his single hair is pulled.

In the *Osomatsu-san: Ouma de Kobanashi* horse racing special episode, Chibita appears in a minor supporting role alongside other series regulars, with no unique character actions or development specific to him beyond his established adult persona.
