Description
Dominique Saint-Pierré, a singer and dancer from the Dominion of Fezzan, achieved social prominence through her artistic career. By 796 UC, she owned a country home on Fezzan and cultivated a lasting association with Adrian Rubinsky, then senior secretary to Fezzan's governor-general. This relationship continued after Rubinsky became governor-general, with Dominique offering her residence for private discussions where Rubinsky revealed his ambitions for Fezzan's economic dominance over the galactic powers.

Around 798 UC, Rubinsky appointed his illegitimate son, Rupert Kessellink, as his secretary. Kessellink became involved with Dominique and enlisted her help in compromising Bishop Degsby, a Terraist figure. Dominique gathered incriminating material that led to Degsby's addiction and subsequent blackmail. During the Imperial invasion of Fezzan later that year, Kessellink attempted to assassinate Rubinsky. Rubinsky disclosed Dominique had warned him of the plot, resulting in Kessellink's death and his final condemnation of her.

After Fezzan's occupation by the Galactic Empire, Dominique accompanied Rubinsky into hiding. In early 799 UC, she secured passage off-world for Degsby aboard the merchant ship *Berezka*, an act Rubinsky confronted her about despite her feigned ignorance. By early 800 UC, they relocated to a mountain hideout with approximately fifty associates. There, Dominique frequently engaged in discussions about Rubinsky's schemes to undermine Kaiser Reinhard's empire, often mocking his failures while remaining his confidante.

At Rubinsky's request in April 800 UC, Dominique facilitated the detention of Elfriede von Kohlrausch and her child, holding them in the Okanagan Mountains. Rubinsky used this to create a hologram for manipulating Heidrich Lang, an enemy of Oskar von Reuenthal. Later that year, Dominique arranged Elfriede's transportation to Heinessen to reunite with Reuenthal before his death—an act Rubinsky viewed as uncharacteristic sentimentality, though Elfriede later described Dominique as kind.

Dominique maintained contact with Rubinsky during his final months, visiting him in March 801 UC as he suffered from a terminal illness. She remarked on his diminished expressiveness and reflected on their early years together, questioning how history would judge his actions. Following Rubinsky's arrest and death in late April 801 UC, explosives he planted devastated Heinessenpolis. Dominique was arrested as an accomplice and interrogated for two months. Her indictment was ultimately suspended, and upon release, she disappeared.

Her personality blended emotional reserve and aloofness with flamboyant clothing. Though typically detached from others' misfortunes, she demonstrated unexpected compassion through her assistance to Degsby and Elfriede. She shared Rubinsky's frequent drinking habit. The nature of her relationship with Rubinsky remained ambiguous, characterized by mutual honesty yet underlying disdain. When Rubinsky proposed she bear his child in 799 UC, she refused, alluding to his killing of Kessellink.
