Janelle Lutz is an American voice actress known for her work in English dubs of anime series. She was born on May 5, 1987, in Santa Clara County, California. Her career in voice acting includes a variety of roles, with her work primarily documented from the mid-2010s to the early 2020s. Before establishing herself in voiceover, Lutz built a substantial career in theater. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Voice Performance from John Brown University in Arkansas. After graduating, she moved to Dallas, Texas, where she became a prominent figure in the local theater scene, performing with numerous companies including Lyric Stage, Uptown Players, and WaterTower Theatre. Her stage work earned her critical acclaim, including two DFW Theater Critics Forum Awards for her performances. Her voice can also be heard on the first full-length cast recording of the musical The Golden Apple, released by PS Classics.
