Description
Keroro leads the Keroro Platoon, tasked with invading Earth (called "Pekopon" in the anime, "Pokopen" in the manga). He is a green, frog-like alien standing 55.5 centimeters tall and weighing 5.555 kilograms. His appearance features a yellow military hat with a red star insignia and a matching star on his belly; explosions transform him into a version sporting a large black afro. Estimated at 10,500 Keronian years old, his childhood coincided with Earth events like the release of early Nintendo systems.

His personality mixes laziness with a penchant for distractions like assembling Gundam models and consuming pop culture. He schemes and manipulates, yet displays cowardice, particularly fearing Natsumi Hinata's threats (he calls her "Natsumi-dono," she calls him "stupid frog"). Despite this, he shows empathy and protectiveness, especially towards Fuyuki Hinata or those truly in need. High humidity triggers a transformation into a ruthlessly competent soldier, though prolonged exposure risks mental instability requiring forced reversion.

Childhood adventures on Keron involved Giroro, Pururu, and Zeroro, marked by rebellion and danger. Inspired by his decorated war-veteran father, he pursued military training but also bullied Dororo, causing lasting trauma. He deeply admires yet fears his father, striving for his approval, while viewing his mother with affectionate embarrassment at her overbearing nature.

His abilities fluctuate wildly. Typically ineffective in combat due to low motivation, he possesses latent potential exceeding elite Keronian soldiers. When seriously engaged, he demonstrates proficiency in ninjutsu, energy projection, mechanical engineering, and strategic command. Starfruit temporarily boosts his energy. Subconscious activation of his Keron Star grants authority-based powers to subdue threats or impose discipline. Daily chores honed exceptional cleaning and curling skills. Key weaknesses include volatile willpower, susceptibility to manipulation, and specific fears: his father, Nyororo creatures, broken Gundam models, and "Butt Firecrackers."

Relationships drive much of his development. Fuyuki Hinata discovered him and remains a close friend whose appeals often deter invasion plans. Natsumi Hinata initially treated him harshly, though their dynamic evolved into a sibling-like bond. He views Aki Hinata as a maternal figure, calling her "Mama-dono." Within his platoon, his frequently criticized leadership uniquely unifies its dysfunctional members, contrasting with failed attempts by others like Tamama. His childhood connections with Giroro and Dororo involve shared history but also past conflicts, particularly regarding Dororo's trauma.

Character development shows gradual mellowing, with less aggressive schemes later on and stronger familial bonds with the Hinatas. Instances of selflessness emerge, like refusing orders to sacrifice allies or protecting Earth to preserve hobbies and friendships. This complex nature balances comedic ineptness with concealed competence and emotional depth.
