Description
Pietro is the prince of the kingdom of Popolocrois and the central character of the original anime series set in that world. He is the son of King Paulo and Queen Sania, and because his mother belongs to the dragon clan, dragon blood runs through his veins, making him part human and part dragon. He is usually shown as a boy of about ten years old with blond hair, though later chapters of his story depict him as an adolescent and eventually as an adult king and father.
At the beginning of his story, Pietro believes his mother has been dead for a long time and is startled to learn that she has been found in a coma. This event sets him on his first major journey, as he sets out with the apprentice forest witch Narcia to save his mother's soul from the underworld. His early adventures also involve the recurring antagonist GamiGami Devil, whose schemes open a dimensional portal and bring the mysterious girl Hyuu into the kingdom. Through his encounters with Hyuu and her guardians, Pietro learns more about his dragon heritage and the power he carries, and he must face those who wish to take that power for themselves.
Personality-wise, Pietro is caring, kind-hearted, and deeply values friendship. He is humble and unassuming despite his royal standing, and he is described as innocent, naive, and selfless, which makes him a natural role model within the kingdom. He is also loyal, fun-loving, and good-natured, with a personality that does not allow him to refuse when someone asks for help.
