Description
Ami Futami works as an idol at 765 Production alongside her identical twin Mami Futami, with both sisters intentionally concealing their dual existence by performing publicly under the singular identity "Ami Futami." Only 765 Production's internal staff and fellow idol Takane Shijou know the truth; Takane identified them during an audition by noting Mami's subtly more mature eyes rather than their hairstyle differences.

Physically indistinguishable except for their hair partings, Ami parts and ties her hair to the right while Mami parts and ties hers to the left. Ami is established as the younger twin in later media, correcting earlier arcade depictions. Both share identical profiles: age 13, height 158 cm, weight 42 kg, blood type B, and a May 22 birthday.

Ami displays a playful, energetic, and mischievous personality, frequently collaborating with Mami on impressions, teasing, and chaotic antics that disrupt productions. This often results in disciplinary action from studio manager Ritsuko Akizuki, whom the twins fear; punishments typically involve office chores. Like Mami and idol Miki Hoshii, Ami refers to herself in the third person as "Ami." The twins exhibit marked informality, addressing seniors as peers unless corrected, and share a strong bond with the Producer, often seeking his company during leisure activities. Ami also enjoys doodling on surfaces, a rarely highlighted trait.

During performances—including those in *Live For You!*—Ami and Mami habitually mishear and mispronounce lyrics. Notably, they sing "Tokachi tsukuchite" instead of "Tokashi tsukushite" in "Agent Yoru o Yuku," earning the fandom nickname "Tokachi," and have rendered "Go My Way!!" as "Gomae~." *Live For You!* marked a milestone by featuring Mami performing solo without Ami and enabling both twins to share the stage simultaneously.

Their family includes only their parents. Their mother is highly protective, sometimes excessively so, prompting the twins to take refuge at the 765 Production office.
