Description
Hazuki Fujiwara serves as a central character throughout the *Ojamajo Doremi* franchise, including *Motto! Ojamajo Doremi*. She originates from a wealthy family and has been Doremi Harukaze’s childhood friend since kindergarten, raised with emphasis on propriety and obedience. Initially shy, passive, and highly sensitive, she frequently prioritized others' happiness over her own feelings, causing internal conflict and difficulty expressing genuine emotions—a tendency stemming from her sheltered upbringing and desire to please her family, particularly her mother, even when disliking expectations like wearing specific dresses. Despite her gentle nature, she harbored a pronounced fear of ghosts and supernatural elements, often invoking Majo Rika’s name as a coping mechanism.

Her talents included classical ballet and violin, reflecting her refined background. Her family consisted of her parents and their supportive maid, Baaya. A key relationship involved her childhood friend Masaru Yada, with whom she shared mutual romantic feelings. Their evolving dynamic was explored in the *Na-i-sho* OVA episode "Valentine's Day ~Hazuki's Secret~", revealing their tradition of exchanging Valentine’s gifts and the reasons for its discontinuation.

As a witch apprentice, Hazuki began her journey after witnessing Majo Rika’s transformation. Alongside Doremi and Aiko, she trained at Maho-do to protect the secret. Her magic theme color was orange, her transformation phrase "Paipai Ponpoi Puwapuwa Puu", and her fairy partner Rere mirrored her gentle traits. Across the series, she developed greater self-assurance, learning to voice opinions, confront injustice, and communicate feelings honestly—especially with her mother—while retaining her inherent kindness and empathy.

In the light novel sequel *Ojamajo Doremi 16*, set during high school, Hazuki attends Karen Girls' Academy to pursue a professional violin career. Her relationship with Yada transitions into a private romantic involvement. She maintains elegance and gentleness but exhibits increased confidence and occasional bluntness, particularly concerning Doremi. Her witch apprenticeship resumes alongside academics and music, requiring weekend work at the revived Maho-do. A notable storyline involves her navigating a damaging rumor about her relationship with Yada—sparked by a photo near a love hotel—resolved through forgiveness after uncovering the perpetrator’s jealousy.

Her relationships extend beyond the core group, including a sustained friendship with Tamaki Reika and interactions with Momoko Asuka and Onpu Segawa during shared witch duties. Caring for the magical baby Hana-chan demonstrated her nurturing nature. The light novels note her unique status as the only main character in an established relationship from the outset, the sole character pursuing professional music, and the only one attending a different school while residing in Misora.
