Description
Hyōma Yoshimura, alias Mr. Jaguar, hails from the 25th century as a member of the Time Patrol, guardians of historical integrity who prevent timeline alterations. In this future devoid of traditional superhumans, Yoshimura embodies its counterpart: an uplifted jaguar granted human-like sentience and capabilities. His initial mission sent him back in time to eliminate groups like the Advocates of Free History that threatened history.

Disillusionment with the Time Patrol's methods led Yoshimura to believe actively changing the past could forge a better future. He consequently founded the organization Infernal Queen (IQ), also called Advocates of Free History, dedicated to eradicating perceived "evil" through direct, often violent intervention. His actions resulted in three distinct versions coexisting in one timeline: his original Time Patrol self, the IQ leader, and a version integrated into Japan's Superhuman Bureau, a government agency monitoring superhuman activity.

As a Superhuman Bureau founding member, Yoshimura operates primarily in support. He maintains a reserved, cynical demeanor, speaking sparingly unless necessary. His abilities encompass partial or full jaguar transformation, granting superhuman speed, agility, and wall-climbing. He wields a pocket watch bearing the Time Patrol insignia (T.P.), allowing time manipulation—stopping, reversing, or controlling its flow. His physics expertise enabled him to create advanced technology, including the transforming mecha vehicle Equus.

A critical juncture occurred when his Bureau counterpart confronted and eliminated his IQ incarnation. This act birthed a temporal paradox: the IQ version's watch became the foundation for humanity's research into time travel, ultimately leading to the Time Patrol that originally dispatched Yoshimura. Though the paradox negated his existence, he remains within the timeline to ensure event continuity. This experience compelled him to abandon the "childish" idealism of eradicating evil through force—a trait he shared with IQ. Instead, he accepted the burden of incremental progress: protecting superhumans and working within the Bureau's framework to build a better future, while grappling with ideological clashes, like those with idealistic colleague Jirō Hitoyoshi.
