Description
Pierrette-Henriette "Perrine-H." Clostermann, heiress of the noble Clostermann family and lord of Pas de Calais county, originates from Gallia. The Neuroi invasion ravaged her homeland, causing deep emotional trauma that initially manifested as arrogance, inflexibility, and difficulty working within teams. This devastation drove her withdrawal to Britannia, where equipment shortages initially limited her combat opportunities before she joined the Forces Aériennes Galliaises Libres 602nd Flying Corps. There, she earned the epithet "Blue premier" as an unparalleled ace. Her perception of Mio Sakamoto shifted dramatically after fifteen consecutive defeats; initially viewing Mio as unskilled, the losses culminated in Perrine fainting and being cared for by Sakamoto. This experience, coupled with Mio's description of the newly formed 501st Joint Fighter Wing's mission to liberate Gallia, motivated her transfer to the unit.
Within the 501st, Perrine held the rank of Flight Officer or First Lieutenant. She harbored intense admiration for Mio Sakamoto, bordering on a crush, fueling immediate hostility toward newcomer Yoshika Miyafuji due to Yoshika's close bond with Mio. This jealousy escalated to Perrine challenging Yoshika to a duel. Over time, particularly after Gallia's liberation, her antagonism softened into genuine camaraderie with Yoshika. Perrine dedicated her entire salary and savings to Gallia's reconstruction, eventually depleting her family's wealth for this cause. Following liberation, she returned to Pas de Calais to lead reconstruction personally. She established an orphanage and school at her former family castle ruins, caring for homeless and orphaned children. She received significant assistance in these endeavors from Lynette Bishop and Amelie Planchard.
Her magical ability, "Tonnerre," generates lightning-based attacks against multiple targets within range. She dislikes using it because it ruins her hair. When employing her magic, she manifests physical Chartreux cat traits (ears and tail). In combat, she primarily wielded a Bren light machine gun and occasionally carried a family heirloom rapier. Her Striker Unit progressed through the Armurier de l'Aéronautique VG.39 to the pre-production VG.39bis and later a variant tested with various engines post-liberation.
Personality-wise, Perrine began as haughty and overly serious, adhering strictly to etiquette and looking down on less refined behavior. The trauma from her homeland's fall contributed to her initial rigidity and difficulty with teamwork. Her wartime experiences, the liberation of Gallia, and her reconstruction work gradually softened her demeanor, making her more approachable and friendly, though she retained elements of her proper upbringing. She harbored insecurities, notably a complex regarding her breast size. Post-war activities included learning broom flight for better magic control during training with Anna Ferrara. In an unofficial "What If" scenario set in 1947, she reluctantly accepted command of the Gallian air force's 506th Joint Fighter Wing, overseeing the orphanage and school while developing a deep friendship with Group Captain Rudel, collaborating on restoring the herb garden in a memorial park.
