Description
Phaedrus is a Bakugan who appears in Bakugan: Armored Alliance, the second season of the animated series that follows the Awesome Brawlers and their partner creatures. She is a Chinese dragon-based Bakugan and serves as the third partner Bakugan of Lightning, the team's dog companion.
Phaedrus's background begins before the events of Armored Alliance, during the preceding season. She was initially shown on promotional material that showcased Ventus Bakugan, and her first story appearance occurred in the episode Stratified, when she approached the Awesome Brawlers and their ally Benton Dusk for help. At that time, her friends had been captured by the Bakugan hunter Strata the Hunter and taken into a mysterious underground labyrinth known as the Maze. Phaedrus asked the team to rescue them and traveled alongside Lightning and the other members of the group on the mission to free her friends. After the rescue, the rest of the Awesome Brawlers were ambushed by Strata and his partner Krakelios and fell into a hole, becoming trapped in the Maze themselves. Following these events, Phaedrus remained with the group and became Lightning's regular battle partner.
In terms of personality, Phaedrus is described as a gentle and wise creature who possesses incredible physical strength. She is highly intuitive and strategic in battle, qualities that make her a fitting balance to Howlkor, Lightning's other Bakugan partner.
