Description
Commander Lance commands the Olympus ES.W.A.T. paramilitary force, answering to an elusive Colonel featured sporadically in the manga but absent in later anime iterations. Tasked with spearheading counter-terrorism strategies, he coordinates operations alongside operatives Deunan Knute and Briareos Hecatonchires.
In the 2007 sequel, he leads high-level briefings on terrorist attacks involving externally manipulated cyborgs. During a hospital visit with Deunan and analyst Hitomi, he reveals that four of the five recent incidents traced to remotely controlled cyborgs, their components sourced from the Poseidon conglomerate. Later, he assigns Deunan a new partner—Tereus, a prototype Bioroid designed in Briareos’ image—and arranges her tour of the Bioroid facility to contextualize the strategic choice.
A younger officer referred to as “Lance” emerges in the sequel as a Captain. The timeline and rank disparity suggest a potential familial tie to the Commander, though their connection remains officially unverified.
