Description
Trip, a Pokémon Trainer from Nuvema Town in Unova, embarked on his journey after choosing Snivy as his starter from Professor Juniper. Witnessing Champion Alder battle during his childhood ignited his goal to become Unova League Champion; Alder advised the young Trip to grow stronger and challenge the League for a future match, solidifying the Champion as Trip's idol and primary long-term rival.
Reserved and introverted, Trip kept largely to himself, documenting his journey with a digital camera. He displayed initial xenophobia, particularly toward Kanto, dismissively calling it "the boonies."
