Akiho Nogizaka is the wife of Gentō Nogizaka and mother to Haruka and Mika. Despite being a mother of two, she has a strikingly youthful and elegant appearance that often leads others to mistake her for Haruka's older sister or cousin. She holds the position of principal at a cooking school. Akiho presents a quiet, intellectual demeanor that contrasts with her husband's more authoritarian nature, yet she wields significant influence within the household, often countering Gentō's strict decisions through persuasion or decisive action. This effectiveness has earned her the informal family title of the "Nogizaka house's ultimate weapon." She enforces strict expectations for Haruka's academic performance and responsibilities while actively observing and supporting Haruka's relationship with Yūto Ayase. During critical family conflicts, particularly when Gentō opposes Haruka's otaku interests, Akiho intervenes to protect her daughter and facilitate acceptance. In the series' concluding narrative arc, she collaborates with Gentō to orchestrate a test of Yūto and Haruka's commitment, staging a forced marriage scenario to evaluate Yūto's determination, and grants her full approval after witnessing their resolve.
