Description
Astraea is a first-generation Angeloid, Type Delta, engineered specifically for close-quarters combat. She possesses a voluptuous physique with measurements of 91 cm bust, 56 cm waist, and 86 cm hips, standing 159 cm tall and weighing 48 kg. Her design features long golden-blonde hair reaching her ankles, red eyes, and blue clothing similar to fellow Angeloid Ikaros. Her wings display a white and blue color scheme optimized for hyper-acceleration capabilities.

Her personality exhibits significant intellectual limitations, frequently described as having the lowest processing capacity among first-generation Angeloids. This results in poor common sense, such as attempting to obtain nutrients by burying herself like a plant or failing basic arithmetic. However, she demonstrates higher emotional capacity than other Angeloids, displaying a wide range of feelings including affection, protectiveness, and frustration. Her clumsiness in daily activities contrasts sharply with her combat precision.

Initially deployed by the Master of Synapse to eliminate Tomoki Sakurai and retrieve renegade Angeloids, her assassination attempts repeatedly fail due to poor coordination outside combat. During her mission, she resides near Tomoki's home, becoming entangled in various misadventures and often a target of his inappropriate behavior. Over time, she develops romantic feelings toward Tomoki and forms a sisterly bond with the second-generation Angeloid Chaos, viewing her as a younger sibling.

A pivotal development occurs when ordered to kill fellow Angeloid Nymph during Chaos's attack. Influenced by Tomoki's encouragement to follow her own desires, Astraea hesitates, physically severs her control chain, breaks her contractual bond with Synapse, and declares independence. This act demonstrates her growing capacity for autonomous decision-making based on emotional connections.

Her combat capabilities are fully showcased against Chaos. Her acceleration-type wings enable increasing velocity during prolonged engagements, eventually outpacing Chaos's reactions. Her primary weapon is the Chrysaor, a super-vibrating photon blade capable of penetrating even Ikaros's Aegis shield. For defense, she utilizes the Aegis-L, a frontal shield more powerful than Ikaros's version but limited to brief activation periods and narrow coverage. This specialization renders her vulnerable to long-range attacks, a weakness exploited by Chaos after surviving Astraea's close-range assault.

Following her defection from Synapse, she continues living with Tomoki and participates in subsequent conflicts. When Chaos is imprisoned in the Pacific Ocean trench, Astraea expresses concern. After losing her Chrysaor and Aegis-L in battle, she experiences depression over her perceived uselessness but is motivated by Tomoki's words to rescue Chaos independently, further solidifying her emotional growth and dedication to self-determination.

Her character arc concludes with continued cohabitation alongside Tomoki and other Angeloids, actively engaging in their daily lives and adventures while maintaining her distinctive blend of combat proficiency and intellectual simplicity.
