Description
Astraea is a first-generation Angeloid of Type Delta, engineered by Synapse for close combat under the Master of Synapse's command. Her physique features a voluptuous build, long blonde hair, and blue attire reminiscent of Ikaros, complemented by white-blue wings designed for hyper acceleration. Physical specifications include 159 cm height, 48 kg weight, and 91-56-86 cm bust-waist-hip proportions, with her bust being the largest in the series.

Her design sacrifices processing power for combat prowess and emotional capacity, resulting in severely limited intellectual function. This manifests as chronic clumsiness, poor problem-solving skills—such as failing to procure food and facing starvation—and high susceptibility to manipulation. Frequently labeled an "idiot" or "airhead," she nonetheless demonstrates strong emotional intuition in social situations where other Angeloids like Ikaros falter.

Initially deployed to assassinate Tomoki Sakurai after prior Angeloid failures, she repeatedly botches attempts due to intellectual deficits and distractibility. During the Chaos Arc, she disobeys the Master's order to kill Nymph when Tomoki encourages her to follow personal desires, physically severing her control chain to break her Synapse contract.

Combat capabilities include the "Chrysaor" Super Vibrating Photon Blade—capable of piercing Ikaros' Aegis shield—and the "Aegis-L" shield offering potent frontal defense but limited coverage and duration. Her acceleration-type wings enable extreme speed for mid-battle adaptation and evasion, though exclusive close-combat focus leaves her vulnerable to long-range assaults, a weakness exploited by adversaries like Chaos.

Post-defection, she resides with Tomoki's group, developing complex relationships: protective sisterly bonds with Chaos, romantic feelings for Tomoki complicated by his manipulation, and petty conflicts with Nymph that gradually ease into household integration.

Later developments, including "Eternally My Master," involve group activities like surviving freezing conditions during a chaotic train dimension journey. After losing her weapons and shield in battle, she spirals into depression over perceived uselessness until Tomoki inspires her to redefine self-worth, culminating in her independent resolve to rescue Chaos—affirming emotional growth beyond her original programming.
