TV-Series
Description
Aya Fujisaki is a student at Sainan High School and a classmate of the protagonist, Rito Yuki. She is most recognizable for her long, straight blue hair, which frames a face with purple eyes that are almost always hidden behind a pair of large, round glasses. Aya is severely nearsighted, and she rarely removes her spectacles in public. Standing at 157 centimeters tall, her appearance is generally neat and reserved, contributing to her overall image as a quiet and unassuming presence.

The core of Aya Fujisaki's character is her unwavering loyalty and devotion to Saki Tenjouin. This deep-seated admiration stems from a childhood incident where Saki, along with Rin Kujou, protected Aya from bullies. Before that moment, Aya was frequently targeted by other children, but Saki's intervention left a profound and lasting impression. Since that day, Aya has dedicated herself to following and serving Saki, whom she often refers to with the honorific "Saki-sama." Unlike Rin, whose family has historically served the Tenjouin household, Aya's loyalty is born entirely from personal gratitude and affection, making it a choice she actively made for herself.

In terms of personality, Aya is generally quiet, reserved, and tends to keep her emotions in check. She speaks very little and can come across as somewhat emotionless or mechanical in her daily interactions. However, this facade completely changes when the subject turns to Saki Tenjouin. When her beloved Saki-sama is involved, Aya becomes much more expressive, passionate, and even fiercely protective. She is one of the few female characters in her social circle who does not harbor any romantic feelings for Rito Yuki; instead, the entirety of her admiration and emotional energy is focused on Saki. Aya is also somewhat weak-willed and shy, but she consistently pushes past these personal limitations out of a sense of duty to support Saki in any way she can.

While Aya is not physically gifted and struggles with athletics and sports, she possesses a variety of other notable abilities and talents. She is skilled in traditionally refined activities such as playing the piano, calligraphy, and sewing, and she enjoys reading in her spare time. Despite her lack of physical prowess, she has demonstrated surprising proficiency in operating heavy machinery, such as a crane, and piloting a helicopter, showcasing a hidden and unexpected side to her capabilities. She also appears to be a competent driver. Aya dislikes violence, being alone, and strenuous physical activity, but she will endure these things without hesitation if it means being of service to Saki.

Her key relationships are almost exclusively defined by her connection to Saki. She is almost never seen apart from Saki and Rin Kujou, forming a tight-knit trio of friends. While she and Rin are both loyal followers of Saki and share a long history together, their interactions are often framed around their shared goal of supporting Saki, and they have few other overt common interests. Aya shows her admiration for Saki more openly and emotionally than the more stoic Rin. Initially, Aya viewed Rito Yuki with suspicion or as a nuisance, particularly when his accidental perversions affected Saki. However, during the events of the Darkness arc, after Rin develops romantic feelings for Rito, Aya's perspective shifts. She begins to support her friend's newfound affection, and alongside Saki, she starts to view Rito in a more positive light, even encouraging Rin's romantic pursuits.

Within the story, Aya's primary role is to serve as a loyal supporter and confidante to Saki Tenjouin, reinforcing Saki's leadership and often acting as an extension of her will. She rarely acts independently of her friends, functioning as an integral part of their group dynamic. An example of her direct involvement in the plot occurs when she and Rin kidnap Rito to force him to arrange a meeting between Saki and her crush, Zastin. While her character does not undergo a dramatic transformation, there is a subtle development in her willingness to accept and support the romantic feelings of those close to her, particularly Rin, showing a capacity for empathy beyond her singular devotion to Saki. Throughout the series, Aya remains a steadfast example of loyalty, defined by her quiet strength and her deep, personal commitment to the friend who once stood up for her.
