Her family hid her magical heritage to ensure a normal childhood, leaving her unaware of her potential until enrolling at Mahora Academy. There, she roomed with Asuna Kagurazaka and their homeroom teacher, Negi Springfield. Cheerful, caring, and slightly naive, Konoka often mediates between Asuna and Negi. Academically capable, she participates in clubs including the Fortune-Telling Club (as president) and the Library Exploration Club. She shares a deep bond with her childhood guardian, Setsuna Sakurazaki, though Setsuna initially distanced herself over guilt for failing to prevent an accident involving Konoka years earlier. In a critical moment, she unconsciously manifested healing magic to save Setsuna from severe injury. Captured by antagonists who exploited her abilities to awaken a demon, she later directly kissed Negi to heal him from petrification, becoming his fourth Pactio partner. This granted her the artifact Regina Medicans (Regal Healer), featuring traditional Onmyouji attire and two fans: Flabellum Euri (Fan of the Northern Wind) and Flabellum Australe (Fan of the Southern Wind). These fans enable her to heal injuries sustained within the previous three minutes. Following her awakening, Konoka trained under Negi and Evangeline A.K. Later, she joined Ala Alba on their expedition to the Magic World. After their group scattered upon arrival, she reunited with allies. Her relationship with Setsuna evolved from strained friendship into a lifelong partnership culminating in marriage, remaining central to her experiences. Konoka is an ancestor to Honoka Konoe, Isana Konoe, and Tōta Konoe. In other contexts like "Rakenzarn Tales," she assists a brigade searching for Negi, using her healing magic during missions. Here, she functions as a "Heal"-type Supporter capable of restoring health, curing status ailments, and replenishing magical resources, albeit at high personal cost.
