Description
Anice Farm, also known as Anise Pharm, began as an aspiring American singer whose life altered irrevocably during a Japanese tour when a demon attack inflicted mortal injuries. Emergency implantation of the Borgman cyborg system saved her, though unintended for her, resulting in inferior combat capabilities compared to other Borgman operatives.
Her past held profound tragedy: she became the sole survivor of a bus crash that killed all her students, indirectly paving her path to the Borgman project. By 2030, she taught music and mathematics at Megalo City's Cybersonic Academy alongside teammates Ryo Hibiki and Chuck Sweager. Kind-hearted and affectionate toward children, she nonetheless unleashed formidable combat prowess when provoked.
In battle, she deployed a red "Baltector" battlesuit optimized for electronic warfare, wielding a "Battle Saucer" as her primary armament. To offset reduced physical strength, she frequently piloted the combat robot "Gun Warrior" or borrowed vehicles like Chuck's buggy. Enhanced sensory abilities granted her unique advantages unmatched by teammates.
Her romantic affection for Ryo Hibiki remained largely unreturned during the initial series. Three years later, depicted in "Last Battle," she resided near a U.S. space center where Ryo worked as a NASA engineer. Dissatisfied with café employment, she accepted a professional role linked to Japan's "Heaven's Gate" high-tech project after arguing with Ryo over his refusal to join her, prompting her solo departure.
In Japan, she reunited with Chuck Sweager and police officer Miki Katsura, who were probing newly emerged cyborgs. Anice volunteered to infiltrate the Heaven's Gate facility—suspected of manufacturing these cyborgs—confronting enhanced adversaries until Ryo and Chuck rescued her. These events reconciled her with Ryo, cementing their romantic bond.
Later media refined her design, with "Last Battle" featuring a ponytail hairstyle. She did not appear in "New Century 2058," which centered on a new character generation.
